A little frazzled, a little frayed and forever hopeful, Sally is Halloween Town’s wonderfully off-kilter romantic—the quiet dreamer who sees what others don’t and refuses to stay exactly where she’s been put. Our Sally dress takes that strange, tender spirit and turns it vivid: a riot of pumpkin orange, wicked purple, crimson, black and ghostly white, pieced together into a costume worthy of the girl who was always meant for something more.
The Ball Gown of Halloween Town
This is not like the lifeless pale ‘printed quilt’ sacks found all over the internet. Wicked & Wonder’s sally is assembled from pieces just like sally is assembled from pieces — a true human-sized wearable patchwork quilt. More than 33 vivid individually cut patchwork pieces are painstakingly arranged and sewn across the front and back, creating an intricate, almost quilt-like surface while preserving Sally's beautifully defined A-line silhouette. Halloween prints, crooked patches, deliberately frayed edges and wandering ribbon stitches give her all the mismatched eccentricity of the original—while a fully lined black underdress and sparkling tulle peek-a-boo hem give Sally the shape, movement, glam and drama of Halloween Town’s unlikely ball gown.

And Sally rewards a closer look. Begin with the beautifully pieced Original Dress, then make her increasingly extraordinary with story-rich embellishments drawn from her peculiar little world: a purple spiderweb appliqué, the signature Sally patch, and finally the showstopper—a clear vinyl trick-or-treat pocket trimmed with dangling beaded bats. As the night’s treasures accumulate inside, candy wrappers and Halloween colors become part of the dress itself. It’s storage disguised as storytelling—and exactly the sort of wonderfully strange detail we think Sally deserves.

One fully lined A-line Sally dress, constructed as true patchwork from 33+ individually cut and sewn fabric pieces across both the front and back.
Includes the black underdress/lining, sparkling black tulle peeking beneath the hem, ribbon stitch detailing, intentionally frayed patchwork edges, and full back zipper with hook-and-eye closure.

Halloween Bling
Sally may be stitched from old, scraps, but Halloween Town has never been afraid of a little color. Our original W&W palette was deliberately designed in a vivid mix of pumpkin orange, wicked purple, crimson, poison green, black and ghostly white to truly capture the spirit of both Halloween and Halloween Town. It gives W&W’s Sally her unmistakable Halloween energy.
Rather than recreating her dress in muted, weathered tones, we leaned into playful Halloween prints, sparkling black tulle, ribbons, beads and unexpected little flashes of shine. Polka dots meet swirls, dangling beaded spiders drop onto spiderwebs, and charming black-and-purple bat fringe appears where you least expect it. A clear-view candy pocket can even be added to joyfully display her festive Halloween candy spoils from the trick-or-treat adventure front and center. Finally, deliberately frayed edges and crude cuts along the hemline create the rustic, handmade character that does Sally proud.
Because every dress is individually pieced, fabric colors and prints can also be customized by request, subject to availability and additional design work. Choose something close to our vivid original W&W palette, or talk to us about creating a quieter, more traditional Sally color story.

Choose your child’s usual size when ordering. Because every Sally dress is individually made to order, we’ll confirm sizing before production and may request a few simple measurements to fine-tune the fit:

Sally is designed with a beautifully shaped A-line silhouette, rather than the loose, shapeless fit common to printed patchwork costumes. A full back zipper with hook-and-eye closure provides a secure, finished fit while allowing comfortable movement.

Begin with the Original Sally Dress, our fully lined, true patchwork dress constructed from more than 33 individually cut and sewn pieces across the front and back. Then build your Sally one detail at a time, completely to your preference.
Each embellishment is an individual add-on at an additional cost, and you may choose one, several, or all of them in any combination: the Sally Patch, Clear-View Candy Pocket, Beaded Spiderweb, Bat Fringe, and Custom Oversized Black Stitches. Or choose Full Sally and we’ll give her the complete W&W treatment—all the Halloween bling.
You can also add to her later. Start with the Original Dress and a Candy Pocket, for example, then return for Bat Fringe, a Beaded Spiderweb or another finishing detail whenever you’re ready.
Because every Sally is individually pieced, fabric colors and prints may also be customized by request. Stay with our vivid original Halloween Town palette, ask about a more traditional Sally color story, or work with us to create your own wonderfully mismatched combination. Custom fabrics and additional design work are subject to availability and may affect production time and price.
Care & Shipping
Sally’s wonderfully ragged appearance may be intentional, but her intricate patchwork construction deserves careful treatment. Professional dry cleaning is recommended. Please point out any beaded embellishments, appliqués and the clear-view vinyl candy pocket to your cleaner before cleaning. Avoid ironing directly over vinyl, beads, appliqués or decorative trims.
Each Sally dress is individually cut, pieced and sewn to order. Please allow 3–4 weeks after sizing and customization are finalized for your costume to be completed. Production times may increase during peak Halloween season as our calendar fills.
